Thank you for another great year at IRCE!
The best part of attending conferences are the in-person conversations. Every year post IRCE we are super energized and excited for what’s to come. The eCommerce space is constantly evolving so having the chance to be a part of its growing success is thrilling. Overall, we had a great time speaking with our customers, partners, eCommerce retailers, and vendors and hear about common challenges, trends, and opportunities that we’re all facing to remain competitive in this everchanging market.
When it comes to improving the online shopper’s customer experience, the conversations stemmed around personalization, recommendations, and artificial intelligence. As the eCommerce industry continues to grow, so do the options for online shoppers. This means that retailers need to focus on driving shoppers to their sites and engaging them enough to convert instead of moving on to a competitor. That’s where personalization and recommendations functionality on an eCommerce site come into play. When a site can serve up each shopper with the right product either through a keyword search or as a recommendation on a product page, they are creating the ultimate customer experience. The artificial intelligence portion allows the retailer to leverage all the on-site search data without manual intervention and produce results that cater to the shoppers’ needs ultimately leading to higher conversions. Did you know that on average incorporating personalization solutions can increase eCommerce sales by 19%? Personalization not only means a lot to your business, but it also improves the buying experience and product discovery journey for your shopper.
This year, IRCE, which took place on June 25-28 in Chicago, was merged with GlobalShop and RFID Journal LIVE! Retail that led to a new event concept known as RetailX. As you can imagine, that took this year’s show to the next level and made it bigger than ever before! This merger of three shows led to a new mixed focus of eCommerce, store design, and innovation. RetailX represents the merging of the online and offline worlds. It is focused on improving the customer experience from every point of a shopper’s journey – from improving the online experience through better search functionality to creating more engaging store displays. A seamless buying process means more conversions which means more revenue.
With over 130 sessions, IRCE’s mission is to provide retailers of all sizes from all over the world the chance to learn about new trends, technologies, and strategies to help them remain competitive in the market. With over 600 exhibitors, there was no solution that you couldn’t find. And we made sure that the search for our intelligent site search and visual merchandising solutions wasn’t too overwhelming with our three booths located around the show floor.
On Wednesday evening, we had the pleasure of spending the night with some of our customers, enjoying delicious wine and Brazilian steak at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse. We love our customers and are always grateful to have the chance to speak to them in person and catch up on a more personal note. A big thank you to all that attended!
Another year of IRCE has come and gone and we can say that this year was one of the best years yet!
