Just as the temperatures dropped below zero again here in Toronto, a couple members of the Nextopia team had the chance to jet off to warm and sunny San Francisco, California for Shopify Unite. Bringing together like-minded eCommerce developers and entrepreneurs, the show offered insights on how to get entrepreneurs on-line quicker and easier.
Running from March 22-23, the show offered various track sessions, big announcements, and speakers. The Nextopia Team had the opportunity to join retailers and other eCommerce experts as new features were announced to make Shopify more customizable.
On Monday, Derek and Chantal had the chance to mingle with developers for Shopify in the downstairs Parlor Bar at Aventine in downtown San Francisco. They even brought a little piece from home – some maple syrup and guide to Toronto’s best hotspots for our customers and partners!
On Tuesday night Shopify really hit it into high gear by throwing an after party at Verso which allowed all to dance the night away and network even further.
“The Photo Booth at the after party was probably one of the most memorable events!” shared Chantal.
With a late return flight home, Derek and Chantal had the chance to enjoy the sunny weather and were treated to a boat cruise from BrightPearl that took them underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. Drinks and delicious apps were shared over conversations with new partners and Shopify developers they had met earlier at the conference.
Shopify Unite was a joining of like-minded industry experts and customers focused on helping retailers get on-line more quickly and giving us insight on how we can help their clients.
