Hello, my name is Erin and welcome to Nextopia eCommerce Labs. I’m here today to share some knowledge from our team of experts about the importance of showing the full prices, as well as sale prices, on the search results for your marked-down products.

It is important to be transparent with your customers and give them as much information as possible. This includes making sure customers understand the regular and sale prices of products that are marked down.

Why is this important? While displaying a sale price along with a percentage, such as “25% off”, lets the customer know the product is marked down, it does not have as much of a visual impact as a search result with the full price shown and crossed out with the sale price under it. By visually displaying how much money the customer is saving in the search result, it produces a far more powerful message than simply showing a sale percentage.

Remember: providing your customers with as much information as possible will guide them to a purchase. By making a few small changes to your search and navigation design, you can make a big impact on your conversion rate and sales.
